So Dub Aid 2 went down a complete storm. The weather wasn’t too bad, and the show was a great social occasion whilst raising cash for charity! Our part was to go on stage and play an hour’s worth of music. We played mostly covers but threw in ‘Give Me a Reason’, ‘The Tides’, ‘Fight For You’ and ‘Best I Could’. We enjoyed every moment of it and had a great crowd supporting us and cheering us on. More next year? We’ll see … watch this space! Ahhh, life is good for Spirit of the State!

Spirit of the State formed in 2007 as a writing project between Will and Dave Clements, two brothers who argue more than the Gallagher’s, but both have the same goal… to make great music and put on fun shows. The band has had an up and down start but over the years has played a fair number of shows, supporting the likes of The Dirty Youth and Skindred. 2012 holds a new set of adventures for the band with festival dates coming up and new songs being recorded.

Lineup:
Will Clements - Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar
Dave Clements - Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals
Greg “The Mexican” Smith - Rhythm Guitar, Backing Vocals
Ian “JV” Ungaretti - Bass Guitar
Sean Hunter - Drums
